That said, charities are very particular about the beds and mattresses they accept and their quality, particularly when it comes to mattresses and fire labels. Due to the law, charity shops cannot resell a mattress without the appropriate fire labels attached because there is no way to prove that the items are fire-proof and safe for use.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Charity shops may also refuse beds or mattresses if they don\u2019t have enough space to store them. This is especially the case in small charity stores as they may not have the storage space to keep or present bulky furniture to consumers.
